If this has been brought up before, I beg everyone's forbearance. But I've been watching some of the RP combat on various forums, and I have a question.
Character 1 (we'll call him "John" for the sake of argument) and Character 2 (we'll call him "Steve") are in an RP fight. Prior to the start of battle, John has listed in his bio some psionic abilities (which are backed up in a character history he's developed as to how he obtained those abilities); Steve has none listed. When John's turn comes around, he uses a psionic attack on Steve. Since Steve has no psionic abilities listed, would he have a chance to resist it, or would the attack automatically count?
