Quote: Gambling (Dicing) does help increase your wits and I have read that you do lose favor when you dice. However, I'm not sure how much favor you lose when you do it. You might find the information below helpful. Answering riddles increases wits Attacking increases guts Trading, Feeding and Bribing increases charm Running away can improve wits, but can also decrease fame. Dicing: Wits Boast: Charm Mingling: Charm Gaming: Guts Unadaksan |

good times. do they have different success chances? do we know?
is there someplace this stuff is written? i found a couple forums from other clans about this stuff a while ago, but they seemed to be outdated. |

Quote: The only formula that I know is the 1/stat formula. For example, when you attack, you might gain one gut point. Your chance of gaining that gut is 1/guts. So, if your guts are 50, you have a 1/50 chance (2% chance). If your guts are 100, your chances of gaining a gut are 1%. I believe that the formula is the same for all. Very good Info guys..
Everythign has been outdated since this most recent update even most of the formulas for determining favor and weapon power and such. basically everyone had to start learning the new updates |

yas is correct: the DC world changed dramatically with the last update. that's why Fred has been trying to visit Towne Square once a week in case we have questions. Most of the formulae have been either figured out by trial and error, or by just asking him. Like the chance of finding a silver weapon (1 in a million I believe). And it's true that most other forums have outdated information lying around. It's so hard to remember where all that stuff is to change it so it's just easier to make a new post!

Quote: More than likely not. Version 19 (current one) was on the test server is some form or another for almost 2 years. Part of that was due to all the work Fred was (and has been) doing to DC2, but I would say there won't be anything like this for a while. All things considered, this isn't anywhere near as big an update as the previous one. That one was tough to stomach because almost everyone had to find new weapons to use. *sighs remembering days when you could enchant weapons as high as you liked...* |

Thanks for your replies, Yasraena and DC picchu.
I'm some what of an old timer myself in DC, since I played it back in 1999. Unfortunately, all my characters were deleted. Is DC2 any good? I have noticed that the game does cost some money to play. |
