Just stopping here to say hi to everyone who is a member of The Gathering.
I do have a question on whether its ok to join the clan with my several other characters in the game? Plus on the DC Test server (the new server), are you accepting clan members? Atka |

I am pleased to see you have decided to take a step into The Gathering and furthermore to venture here to our boards. Welcome! Towards your questions, I will of course accept futher Characters into the clan, we'd be more then happy to help them as well as this Char. Towards the DC test question, unfortunatly I have not ventured into that game myself and therefore have not created the clan in that server. My two characters in the clan are Atka (already in) and Adak (not quite - still need to check my mail). Soon both will be at level 15, if not today. I guess on the new server my guys will go clanless  Later Unadaksan |

I am also in the process of having my characters join The Gathering. I'm a geek and got so hooked on DC I have 5 characters.
How do I go about getting those awesome joining packages, the ones with Unicorn Horns? They're a pain in the ass to get, and then hard to part with because when equipped in conjunction with a good War Tusk they seem pretty awesome. |

Hahaha Welcome welcome. We dont per say have "Joining Packages " like other clans. We tend to help out mebers when ever and whereever we can.
So you say you need a unicorn horn? Would that be for gaining rank or just to use as a weapon? If its just for rank I can actually send you the Unicorn Pendant if you want the horn for a weapon then Ill see what I can mail to you if you post your DC name |

i must have been mistaken then.
i dont know, i've been questing in the Dungeons now with a bunch of my characters and it seems like the usefulness of Unicorn Horns as weapons is VERY short-lived. so the ones i was using as weapons are getting cycled through my characters through the mail... and because i've got five of them and the mail takes a day or two, i'm kinda confused as to which of my characters still need unicorn pendants and everything. so... i guess, thank you for your offer, but at the moment i think i'm OK.

Your sure? I have multiple unicorn penadants you can give the queen to get your first rank. Or I can mail more unicorn horns for use with your other questing characters if needed.

I'm pretty good at this point. I think all my guys are Squires (except the one guy I accidently made female... "he"'s a Lady)
One thing that's been pissing me off had been that my older characters, all around level 18, keep dying. things berserk me and my Sage doesn't do anything to stop them, even when i was trying to just fight normally or run away, and then whenever things Hypnotize me they always decide to kill me just be malicious. or something. where should i be questing at level 18? |

A better guage would be your number of guts , wits and charm, etc since it can vary drastically between different players all on the same level. Also it would be helpful if you gave us an idea of you carry as weapons and armour becuase this makes a big difference as well.
A well equipped player at level 18 may do better than a highlevel char with weapons of lesser ability |

He's got a Silver Tail Whip which is pretty cool: 55a 13d 55s base. Attack: 70, Defend: 97, Skill: 159 ... i just realized he's not in The Gathering yet. gotta fix that. I'll get the other ones in here later if i remember. |

hmmm My advice is to quest in the goblin mounds, preferably the treasury or throne room or even in the mountains I think.
The move on to the dungeons. Once you can kill the monsters in those realms of dc without to much trouble your ready to move. I have a charcter that is level 23 and has roughly 140 guts and wits and aboiut 120 charm I do well in the dungeons with that one and find myself challenged when i quest at sea. |

I've been doing the dungeons with my characters since level 16... the ones that get EQ from the older ones since like level 13.
i haven't spent too much time in the hills or the goblin mounds, i dont get as much cool stuff and tend to get berserked or mesmerized more. it seems. |

for now, i would go about questing in one of two ways:
1.) quest in the mountains and run from everyone but Basilisks and the Mountain Goat things until you get about 100-125 guts. 2.) quest in the goblin mounds and run from Worms (unless you have lots of oil) and Mages (unless you have lots of sage skills to keep you from getting mezzed). Do keep in mind that Sage does not work against Berzerk, nor does it work when you are using a skill of your own. You might spend a day or two doing the second option, and if you find it too easy, go to #1. either way, I would use one of those two options until you are either above 150 guts, or can kill anything in the mountains with ease. then, move on to the dungeons, again running from the Mages. thanks for the advice, but once again i'd like to point out... i whore in the dungeons. but the hills and the goblin mines still piss me off.
maybe its the mages that keep mezzing me... and the giants in the hills tend to kill me. that's really it... i dont know what the hell berserks me every once in a while. but i guess i should get some more guts. thanks a lot. |

You might concentrate on increasing your wits too. This will help with mezmerizing monsters. The higher your wits the better able to withdtand a mez.
Try gambling with the queen and like Picchu said running from the more powerful monsters. |
