The first point I want to make about these quotes is that you stated a "few" but then changed it to "very large number". Not consistent. Another point is the fact your calling hits by saying you destroyed them with your sword. The fact of the matter is the Orc Shamen had many turns and much much time for his spell to take shape and come about. It is totally prepostereous and unrealistic and rude to say mages now coming upon the scene can blow it away in a wink. You can say mages exist in your armies that's fine but in RP if you dont say they are there...they are not there. Just like you can't say they can bring out all these holy weapons when they have all these other weapons on hand. What do these guys carry? First they had swords, shields, spears, Howitzers, bows, and now enchanted weapons and now enchanted bows and arrows. What next? How is one person suppose to stand and have all these things at the ready? This RP is torture to read. It's laughable. This RP is supposed to be for fun and I have done my best not to call shots, not to be unfair but to make sure its a fun and interesting fight. All I am getting from this person is smacks and stuff pulled out of who knows where. Its offensive and makes me think that this person could give a care about the roleplay and anyone involved. I would like to see some measures made to ensure the RP makes sense and that things dont just appear out of nowhere and characters dont seem to have everything at thier disposal magically with no explenations. I took my time to plan and to work things up. It would be nice to see others doing the same. And I am no way picking on any other players for I feel they have all been fair and took as much as they gave. I hope this can be rectified soon. I tried to hold off a contest for as long as I could but it now getting to the point it is threatening the continuation of this RP.

I am also finding it highly unflattering and poorly conducive for this RPing site that this person constantly ignores what is written and spends more effort on defending his whims than actually putting into RPing. An example of this is the last two posts. My last post went into detail of how the army swords might have reacted from contacting the spirits. I also went into detail about how the Orcs were rushing to attack the mages. His subsequent post made no clear correlation to these things and simply ignored my whole post. Instead he spent his time and words defending why his mages were all powerful and could be here out a blink of an eye and cast spells against something they did not understand. You can't tell me someone can look at incorporeal spirits and know EXACTLY what spell was used and how to counter. Anyone who RPs mages knows the more turns you have the more powerful your spell. A level one spell no matter how many of them you cast will not touch a level 10 spell. Time is a mages friend and curse. It is obvious in reading through these posts that people don't read everything. And I used that to my advantage. I planned. I waited. And now I will be fit to be tied if someone can just whistle and dance and have all this hard work just skirted away with nothing but balogna. And example of how things aren't read is I stated the surviving ORcs perished in my last post yet in the subsequent post they are chained and carried away. Again no correlation to my RP. No teamwork. No cooperation.

Soldiers that specialize in different things. For instance, archers, swordsmen, artillerymen, medics, and in this sense mages. I myself have fought wars with the Gathering, and I myself have commanded a group of these mages that brought down the dragon. What I mean to say, is that not one man carries all of these weapons. Different regiments have different men with different weapons. As for the usage of 'few' and the usage of 'very large number' I could see where there would be confusion. All that I'm trying to prove to you is that each man did not carry all of those weapons.

In those two quotes it is never stated that there are "a few" men with enchanted weapons, I say some men with weapons on hand, the many enchanted or blessed weapons would come from the fact that this particular military has fought many supernatural foes before and it has been mentioned in many previous rps that a great number of the weapons have charms so as to facilitate such combat.. As for the called hit, it is a character in combat against NPCs...spirits conjured to life...not other participating characters... In regards to the multiple weapons, notice I make use of different units, it has long been stated that this military makes use of combined arms, in other words there is a dragoon battalion which enters, then archers, and some artillery...as the T'Gatherin Legion has for RL years used different units who are armed differently, hence I make note of a battalion of dragoons, an archer regiment, and an artillery compliment to an infantry division arriving. If this RP has in fact occured over hours ICly, then the large and often mentioned forces of the Legion, equivilent to at least an army corps of many diverse units would have time to mobilize and arrive on the field...this is why there are differently armed men, and why they act in cooperation as it is an icly confirmed and experience force of battle-hardened veterans. It has been used in repeated rps that there are mages in its ranks, this has not been contested. Indeed, they have a right to react to the sudden incarnation of orc spirits (which are arguably spiritless creatures) by an Orc shaman (a holy man, arugable as well as Orcs, at least according to their incarnation by Tolkien, are described as an uncivilized, brutish race that is a bastardization and corruption of elven kind). This battle was a losing battle and the attempt to change its course utterly in one turn when it became clear that the Orc host was outmatched by an act of resurrection magic in the realm Elidoris evokes little sympathy from me. I'm sorry, but I am not going to change the long estabilished method of rps and organization behind a long accepted force...simply, I do not see the grounds for this contest, and I do not appreciate the attempted admonishment.

No where is this explained. No where does it say where all these weapons are held or carried or transfered. They just "appear" when needed magically. Also you are forgetting that in RP if you dont say someone is there they are not there. You can have a battle and never mention mages and then say OH we have mages and they are ready. You have to declare them at some point to establish them otherwise your validity of thier presence is not solid. I could not have said oh I had an ORC mage and he casted a spell eons ago and now the spell comes to be if I did not actually POST the Orc was there. Which I did. At that time I posted my two orc Shamens...that would have been a perfect time to mention your own mages. But this was not done. ANd even mentioning them would have done little since the ORc shamen's spell was not interrupted or distrubed.

You do not know how powerful they are. It doesnt matter how many past RPs things have been established what matters is the RP that is active now. Just because in the past mages were there doesnt mean they are there now and will be every battle. You have to establish it. If it is written it isn't there. A great example for this always comes up in contests. You have an example where two people are talking or fighting and then this goes on a while and finally a thrid person posts and says "I've been hiding in the shadows and heard and saw all." Nope that doesnt work. If that person wanted to be there they had to post earlier to mark thier presence. If they didn't post they weren't there. If you dont post the mages are there...they aren't there. And frankly I'm sure these posts can be taken offensively. Can you blame me when I've put all this time and effort into this RP and you yourself in your last post pretty much verifies what I thought. You dont read what I post. You dont like it so you say the hell with it and ignore it and are determined to win win win no matter what. Ignore what I do. Ignore what is done. You cant' admit your made mistakes. YOu can't admit even a small fraction of defeat. You can't admit that you missed a huge tactical advanatage I had with the shamen. And you continue to refuse to acknowledge this. You continue to refuse to admit that the spell shoudl be powerful and reruse to RP accordingly.

But I am not going to alter other aspects, I'm sorry, perhaps it would have been clearer had all the threads wiped out by the ezboard crash still been available, but I am merely using what has been approved time and time again. But to state a point...again... I just do not apply level 10 or level 1 to spells...according to the post count you introduced the shaman in the cave in one turn, did not mention it the next post after that was made, then had the shaman cast his spell...thats a total of two turns anyway, so the concept of this long neglected Orc wizard in a cave is rather overstated I think... Now that I've been continually editing this last post to better reflect my final point, I think I'm simply going to state the following. One Orc shaman is not within two turns of a spell be able to create an impervious weapon of raising spirits without the notion that other mages (who I did not first employ out of respect for the conventional nature of this RP) would be able to counteract it...notice I made the point that these counteracts would be gradual, not at once...as in the spirits do not simply vanish...its been stated in many previous rps that blessed weapons are often on hand, as it would be common sense to assume such a force would have them in some way shape or form...and the spirits would likely not be able to swarm the mages so quickly, you could say they would dive for the mages, but then I could essentially post that they'd have to negociate the weapons deployed against them. Perhaps in the future I shall post even more exact descriptions of particular units, but the concept of this entire RP being shifted by a single NPC spell is I think unrealistic. From the moment the spell is revealed suddenly all Orc spirits rise from the dead...unrealistic as well in my opinion. I explain the surviving Orcs being hustled away instead of suffocated...as they are being hustled away under guard, not left for the spirits to delve into them. Essentially I'm going to ask Sean to make a ruling on this, as I do not see any use in attempting to work things out through continued arguement. My willingness to compromise is noted above...that is the extent I'm willing to bend, but if that is not acceptable then I ask Sean to make a judgement on this.

Your compromising is unacceptable. You still lack any true gestures of cooperation or understanding. You still lack acknowledging things that have been put into the RP. A RP only works if people read what others write and build off of it. It makes for poor roleplay if your men have every weapon known to fantasy at thier disposal with no mention as to how they got it, where they got it from. It is highly poor roleplay for you to assume you have weapons that can defeat anythign and everything and that is the attitude you are portraying and giving. Why would anyone want to roleplay with you? It is no fun to roleplay against someone who is invincible and infallible. Made no mention of defending them or having your mean stave off the spirits to protect the ORcs. No..you simply ignored my RP and just stated opposite of what I wrote. How does this make for quality roleplay? If someone ignores posts and scenarios and situations. It doesn't.

But as for invincible or infallible...that is very much not the case, there were quite a few tactical faults you could have taken advantage of...if it's taken you a month and a half to argue my way of Rping, I think this point is kind of moot. I long ago explained how different units have different weapons, I did mention in case you did not notice that a steady stream of reinforcements was flowing to the front multiple times...perhaps years of posting various mobilizations and war plans was not enough for others to understand that yes quite a few men could pour into an area....actually, considering my reference to various brigades and regiments...do you know how many men tend to be in a regiment or a brigade?... all of these various weapons were never contested... You put words in my mouth, I say "relatively short span of time" as in mere hours, not days or ic weeks as past wars have gone, we may just have different senses of proportion...realistically if this had indeed taken hours with no orc reinforcements, they would have been long overwhelmed by a huge flow of men and material coming to the front...but I did not do this as to allow you to enjoy this. I say "begin to take effect almost at once" as in it is gradual, it merely begins to undo some of the work of a single shaman...(an orc shaman again), so perhaps this "very big much" over two turns and about an OOC month would not be quite as destructive as you would wish following defeat on the ground...by not a massive number of men, proportionate to the rest of the Legion, whose order of battle you are able to see... losses are still being suffered, just excuse me if I'm not too receptive of a two-turn spell having the effect it does solely because you've been defeated on the ground... there may be some wording issues at this point, now as I look at it, because this RP has dragged on since the third week of August....it just keeps being resusitated or delayed, this is yet another delay. Again, I do not care if thoughts come to you and you feel the need to post concurrent posts one after another, its unprofessional and it clutters this thread, please stop.

But that is the difference I am seeing here. I do for others where you do only for you.

Your ignoring of my posts and outright going opposite to what I write is personal. And is a personal attack. Your actions here showing how unwilling you are to see other people's views and points is personal. How can you expect someone to roleplay with people when you choose to not even acknowlege their actions in their posts? How is it that you have been told in the past in past contests that you can not expect fellow roleplayers to know logistics of warfare or that they be required to yet again now you raise this point? How is it that you can dispute all my points yet you really have not discussed any of them in detail? How is it you have nothing further to discuss? Or is it you just dont want to discuss it? Honestly this is sad. Sean I ask for a decision to be made for this is getting nowhere. I can't discuss with someone who is unwilling to discuss. I can't work something out with someone who is unwilling to open his mind and eyes. ANd I can't continue to RP with a person who doesn't read and doesn't acknowledge actions done in the RP.

As for everything else, the contest has turned into a personal insult session. This is not the point of a contest. If you've got some problem with the person oocly, it isn't to be taken ICly. I thought that was just commen sense. I haven't seen Romanov ignoring any posts, and I haven't seen anyone else ignore posts, either. This contest is turning into a bash at personal character, and that is not the point of contesting. It is to contest RP. Do you have any certain instances where Romanov ignored your posts?

Now either it seems this RP could be just discarded and moved to the archives...but I do not believe any here want that, or else this contest must be dropped and the rp ended, or the contest compromised upon and wrapped up. We have to come to some agreement whether we like it or not.

You have "ONE" post each from this point on .. to salvage this roleplay, and keep it alive and continuing on this fourm . 2. I want to read details, and specifics in that "ONE" post.. similar to an inventory.. so that any reader that is possibly attempting to follow this rp, will be able to do so. Summerize for me the READER...what you have, where you are and what you are doing. This is not negotiable, nor is it up for discussion.
